What PRP is

PRP, or platelet rich plasma, is a regenerative treatment that uses a concentrated preparation made from your own blood.

The blood is processed to separate plasma containing a higher concentration of platelets and naturally occurring growth factors. Once prepared, PRP is delivered into targeted areas of the scalp to support viable hair follicles and encourage healthier hair growth.

How we use it, and how we do not

Where appropriate, PRP may be incorporated into a wider hair restoration programme to support the environment surrounding existing follicles.

We do not view PRP as a universal standalone solution for every type of hair loss. Its use is determined by individual assessment and suitability. Tarek is a qualified hair specialist, and the clinic does not sell scalp injections as a product.

If PRP is not the right thing for your hair, we will say so. That is the point of assessing first.

The starting point is always a consultation and scalp assessment, which lets us understand the condition of your existing hair, establish what remains viable and determine whether treatment is appropriate at all.

What a foundation first
programme does.

Microscopic images are taken on the first visit. Progress is then formally reviewed every 2 months, so what changed is compared against a record rather than against recollection. Drag any slider to compare.

I have been visiting the Hampton Clinic for ten years and there is absolutely nowhere else I would go for my treatments. Customers are always welcomed by a warm, polite and efficient team who are experts in their field. Treatments are carried out in an extremely respectful and personal manner.

I have been coming here for a very long time for laser hair growth treatment. I originally knew Tarek from a previous clinic, and I have continued to trust him. It never feels rushed or clinical in a cold way. There is always good conversation, genuine care, and a real personal touch, which makes a big difference.

I am impressed, and learnt a lot at my hair loss consultation today at The Hampton Clinic Bristol. They explained everything, what is the cause of my thinning hair, and advised what I should use and take.

Always welcoming, staff very friendly and positive. I have been on numerous occasions and have always been treated respectfully. They keep you updated about your sessions by email and text, and you always get an aftercare email too.
